Roller Blinds

Modern, minimalist style and functionality for every space

Roller blinds have made a window treatment comeback and are a great way to smarten any room with the introduction of modern fabrics to compliment the style of any home, apartment or office.  Manufactured in Tauranga, these blinds are non-intrusive, rolling away at the top of the frame to make rooms feel spacious and preserve your view.  Blinds are available in an extensive range of colours, textures, designs and prices.  Matching curtain panels can also be manufactured with most blinds.

You are spoilt for choice with blind options for full privacy, partial privacy, block out and various degrees of light-filtering.  Control systems vary from standard chain through to full motorisation for ease of use.  These custom-made blinds are easy to clean, durable and can be manufactured to 3000mm wide.

Fabrics for light and privacy

Protect your floors and furniture with Sunfilter blinds which effectively block a great deal of UV light and heat, but don’t completely block your view to allow a sense of openness.  At night with the light on, you will be able to see in through a Sunfilter blind.

These blinds are durable, won’t catch dust and are easy to clean with a wipe down with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.

Sheerweave is a fine weave Sunfilter to block 90-97% of UV rays and will help protect your furnishing from fading.  This fabric has a Greenguard Certification*, is Fire Retardant, PVC and lead free to help maintain indoor air quality.

*When a product bears Greenguard Certification, it means that it is designed for indoor spaces in such a way that it meets strict chemical emissions limits and has been tested for more than 10,000 chemicals.  These products have the backing of a third-party organisation.  The idea is to produce healthier interiors free from harmful emissions.

Lightfilters are a stylish and very cost-effective solution between the Sunfilter and Blockout if you do not require full blockout at night and want light to filter into the room during the day.  These translucent fabric blinds are most commonly used in the living areas of a home as they softly filter light. In daylight, these fabrics can’t be seen through and from the outside at night, only a slight shadow effect can be seen inside, but only if you are close to the window. Lightfilter fabrics provide a higher degree of light filtering than a Sunfilter with a 100% block of UV rays, but still allows light in to create a lovely soft light effect.

Blockout blinds provide you with evening privacy and sun protection during the day. The majority of the Blockout fabrics have a white backing which increases their thermal efficiency. This backing creates uniformity of colour when viewed from the outside but allows you to have different coloured blinds to complement the interior. Vibe is our basic hardwearing Blockout fabric range.  Its ideal for kids rooms, kitchens, rental properties and offices as its easy to clean, PVC and lead free.  Choose from 31 fashion colours.

Double Roller Blinds – For day and night privacy

Using a double blind gives you the best of both worlds, with a Sunfilter fabric for daytime privacy or filtering of sunlight, and a blockout fabric for evening privacy. As the name suggests, double roller blinds are essentially two roller blinds installed in the same window. They are usually a Sunfilter or Lightfilter fabric at the back and a Blockout fabric in the front. They are operated with separate chain or motor systems and allow you to have greater light and privacy control.

What you need to know about installation

Roller blinds are installed inside your window frame and there will be a gap of 15-18mm between the fabric and the frame.  For wider sized windows requiring 2 blinds, there will be a gap of 15-20mm where the blinds met in the middle.
