Can shutters be installed on any interior window?
Yes, shutters can be installed on virtually any window, French door or sliding doors.  They can also be used as room dividers which slide using fitted tracks.  We consult and review your windows, doors, and frames to ensure shutters will work, or can offer you alternative window treatments.

Can you provide a quote from building plans?
Yes, absolutely.  We have extensive experience in the building/construction industry and are happy to provide quotes based on plans, for budget purposes.  Once construction has been completed, we would measure the windows and doors to ensure accurate sizing and the best possible fit.  We would then review the quote and update if necessary.

Do you charge to measure and quote?
We offer a free consultation, measure, and no-obligation quote service to our customers.

What area do you cover?
We service the greater Wellington region, Hutt Valley, Kapiti and Wairarapa.

Should I remove curtains and/or blinds before you arrive?
If you are repainting or repairing a window or door frame, then ideally yes.  It’s a good idea to get frame painting done before we come in to install, so that you won’t need to work around your new window treatments.  If you are repairing a window, let us know in advance of ordering, as we may need to remeasure it to check that the measurements haven’t changed too much.

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, our supplier; Santa Fe stand by their products with an extensive 3-year product limited liability warranty.

Why buy custom made blinds when I can buy readymade blinds?
Readymade blinds are usually manufactured in a limited range of sizes and are then cut down if necessary,
to fit your window.  Some readymade blinds can be of an inferior quality and can break under normal usage conditions.  In some instances, readymade blinds can colour fade and warp as the materials used are not as
a high quality as custom made blinds.
Custom manufactured blinds are made specifically to meet your precise window/door measurements and requirements to ensure that you get the best possible fit and full functionality benefits.  We carefully install all our products to give you a stunning result.

What is the best product for a humid bathroom?
For bathrooms, kitchens or laundry rooms requiring a moisture-resistant blind, we recommend Ecowood venetian blinds with PVC slats or aluminium venetian blinds.  Both of which, won’t warp or rot when exposed to prolonged moisture.
